is a city in Collin and Dallas Counties in the U.S.
state of Texas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a
total population of 91,803, while according to a 2007
estimate, the population had grown to 101,400.
Richardson is an inner suburb of Dallas in the middle of
the Telecom Corridor and Silicon Prairie with a high
concentration of telecommunications companies. More than
5,000 businesses have operations within Richardson's 28
square miles, including four of the world's largest
communications/networking companies: Cisco Systems,
Samsung, Fujitsu and Nortel.

refineries as gasoline/oil terminal facilities for many
years.
